The Missouri (MO) KIDS IPC Toolkit is a comprehensive resource designed to help Missouri schools improve their infection prevention and control (IPC) practices. Developed through a partnership between the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MODHSS), this toolkit provides schools and educators with the tools they need to create safer learning environments.
It includes a variety of materials such as self-guided eLearning modules, evidence-based guidelines, job aids, and other resources specifically designed to meet the unique needs of schools in Missouri. The MO KIDS IPS Toolkit offers best practices in:
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) basics
- Standard precautions
- Hierarchy of controls
- Handwashing/hand hygiene
- Respiratory etiquette
- Indoor air quality
- Water quality
- Preventing foodborne illnesses
The toolkit will be hosted by APIC until May 2030.
